School Holidays

With Labor Day fast approaching, we want to take a moment to inform our students and parents of our holiday schedule.

Pritchard School of Music is closed during Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks, in addition to four other major holidays throughout the year. Those four additional days are as follows:

  • New Year’s Day (January 1)

  • Memorial Day (the last Monday in May)

  • Independence Day (July 4)

  • Labor Day (the first Monday in September)

While makeups are not given for lessons skipped during Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks*, if you would otherwise receive a lesson on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day or Labor Day, you will have 60 days to schedule a makeup for that missed lesson.

We hope everyone enjoys the last hurrah of summer! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions about our holiday polices or anything else.

Best,
Kenneth and Caroline Pritchard

*Lesson Agreement: “Tuition covers four lessons per month or 48 lessons per year. Because there are 52 weeks in a year, there are 4 weeks during which there will be no lesson, and those four lessons will not be rescheduled. Two of those are the week of Thanksgiving and the week of Christmas. The other two weeks are the instructor’s vacation time, of which you will be notified no later than the week prior. If a student signs up in the middle of a month, that month will be prorated for the number of lesson received.”
