At Pritchard School of Music, our expertise is helping students of all ages and experience levels harness their passion for music and turn it into musical skill. Our methods for teaching piano, voice, guitar, bass and drums are based on three key, time-tested principles: reading, theory and ensemble awareness.

Reading

Reading music is essential to retaining what you learn and communicating with other players. We take the songs you love and apply our proven methods for reading rhythm and melody to ensure you reach your goals.

Theory

Some studios teach mimicry. We teach the theory of how chords, rhythm and melody work together to form songs, so you truly understand what you learn — and can use it to write your own songs.

Ensemble

Music is a language spoken between players. Our instructors play along with you, so you not only learn to play your instrument, but also to perform confidently in a group setting.

Whether I wanted to learn theory, practice a certain technique or rudiment, or just have fun learning a song, Kenneth could always adapt and make the lesson interesting and enriching.
